POWERLOGIX ANNOUNCES ADDITIONAL MODELS OF POWERFORCE G4 SERIES 100; ANNOUNCES TRADE-UP PROGRAM

NEW YORK--July 17, 2002 -- PowerLogix today announced a 700 MHz version of the PowerForce G4 Series 100 for PowerMac G4s and Cubes, and a 733 MHz version of the PowerForce G4 Series 133. The new models offer significant additional speed and the latest processor technology to PowerMac G4 owners at a very affordable price.

"We have had a tremendous response from Mac users all around the world after our announcement of the first 1 GHz upgrade cards," said Robert Jagitsch, President of PowerLogix. "Many customers told us they wanted additional speed in their PowerMac but they wanted it to be as affordable as possible, so we decided to offer the 700 MHz model which offers the same speed as the LCD iMac for considerably less expense than buying a new machine."

PowerLogix also announced the PowerForce Trade-Up Program, which allows customers to select the affordable speed upgrade of their choice, and trade up later to a faster processor. For example, a customer might decide to purchase a PowerForce G4 700 MHz Series 100 for their PowerMac G4 AGP now, and may trade up to any faster model at a later time. The Trade-Up program allows the customer to trade up for the difference in the retail price of the two cards. Full program details will be available shortly on the PowerLogix website.

"The PowerForce G4 Series 100 and 133 cards are just at the very beginning of their ultimate potential...the cards already support speeds higher than 1 GHz, so additional future performance is a certainty," said Jagitsch. "The Trade-Up program allows customers to get the affordable speed that they want today, instead of waiting for something faster or for pricing to come down sometime in the future. This way customers can enjoy a faster Mac immediately, and not sacrifice their investment when they are ready for another speed bump, or even a second processor."

The PowerForce G4 Series 100 upgrade cards are compatible with the following PowerMac G4s running at 100 MHz bus:

Model___________________Original Clock Speed

PowerMac G4 'AGP Graphics' 350, 400, 450, 500 MHz
PowerMac G4 'Gigabit Ethernet' Single 400, Dual 450 or 500 MHz
PowerMac G4 Cube 450, 500 MHz

The PowerForce G4 Series 133 upgrade cards are compatible with PowerMac G4s running at 133 MHz bus:

PowerMac G4 'QuickSilver' 733, 867, Dual 800 MHz
